I ahve a s10 truck that wouldnt start the other day, and found out that it was the ignition fuse under the hood that had blown. Finally push cranked the truck and dorve it home, put another fuse in tried to crank it and it blowed that fuse also. Any ideas on what would make a truck blow those fuses like that, bad connection or something?

I had a problem w/ my skid steer a few months ago it was basically doing the same thing. I just started un plugging things one at a time on the motor untill it would crank. I replaced the temperature sender on it and has been fine ever since.

you dont say what yar the S10 is or really enough information to take more than a wild ass stab in the dark.

But the late 80s to very early 90s steerin columns had an issue where wires would chaffe inside the column and short out against the column itself. Would blow the fue as soon as you turned the key to "crank"....may or may not be your issue.

Its a 2003 chevy s10 4cyl 5 speed with about 103,000 miles. Haven't had time today to look at anything with the truck but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This is a good place to start, pulling each fuse one at a time until something happens, might wanna call in a friend. If that does'nt do the trick, try checking all the wires under dash and hood to visually inspect for damage. Ford always suggested doin a wiggle test, wiggling groups of wires to see if a short could be found. Good luck
