OK so who caught The Fmaily Guy tonight?
That was just amazing. I've alway been a fan, but damn.
It's scary how accurate much of the reproduction was.
 
I have never liked the show...but turned on the TV tonight as it was getting going and got hooked...that was great.

I laughed the hardest when R2 gangster aimed the pistol and shot down the thai fighter, and then said "That's how we do it my neighborhood bitch"

Great episode. My wife and I have been fans from the beginning. We saw the first episode, kinda by accident, and we've been hooked ever since. They really do their research over there.

On a sidenote, who was impressed with the Simpsons? I thought it was pretty good, too. I could tell they had started using some of the production qualities from the movie, though.
 
Hell of a way to open a season. Sets the bar pretty high!

I loved the final few moments when peter and chris argued over Robot Chicken, that show sucks.

It was amazing how some of cartoon effects looked as good as the 1970 cinematogrphy

I was gonna bring that up too... I liked the carryover from the movie. I guess it might not make sense if you hadn't seen it - but then, what Simpsons fan that'd be watching the season opener wouldn't have?
I'm most curious to see what intro they use NEXT week... will it be the old one again, or is thie the new standard?

Dude, WTF is wrong with you. RC is thr shit. Even if 1/2 of the sketches bomb, the remaining ones are so dead-on funny I nearly pee myself every time. No holds barred.
I couldn't decide if this was a dig on Seth Green, or actually a free bit of publicity.

I didnt catch the episode, but theres one episode in the newest boxed set that has stewie dancing with Gene Kelly, and it was absolutely brilliant how well it was done.

Its episode 9, season 5, called "Road to Rupert" Def. check it out.
 
I couldn't stop laughing the entire time. I thought it was hilarious and a great way to open the season.

I watched the season opener of The Simpsons as well but hadn't seen the movie and I still got it.
