I'm in Raleigh...

I just need someone to grind the crap out of some metal for me, so I dont have to do it :)
From the sound of it, he has enough sand in his vajayjay he could sand blast it for you..... Just saying. I think he got the mood swing instead of cyd.

Your definition of in the sticks is off.

just cause its outside the beltline doesnt mean its in the sticks.

Outside of 540 then yeah in the sticks is possible.

According to some of you I may as well be in Australia, NE JoCo ( 18 miles from the east side of belt line)

I can be at Will's shop in Burlington faster than I can get to your house.

Just saying....

What? have you tried Poole Rd ?

Poole Road is at least five minutes longer than 264. You can do 80, and there aren't any stop lights. The problem is usually out on Lake Wheeler Rd or Buffalo Rd where it's curvy and you can't pass. Inevitably, you'll come up on some a-hole in a white van doing 25mph.

Shawn gets nervous when the sidewalks end and the gravel roads begin

Mafawker, you live in a subdivision. To this day, it's still five miles of chip and tar to get to the house I grew up in. I was just smart enough to figure out that living way out there is a terrible idea.

I do, but I have an acre of yard, which is what I wanted and not have to pay $200k+ to get a postage stamp of grass.

the only train horns I hear are off in the distance, not 100 yds away, barely overheard by the roosters ( also off in the distance ) Gunfire, well, it's JoCo, it's part of the culture. I get to hear owls and other wildlife that most folks have no clue exist, I've lived in cities, and small towns, if I could have afforded more acreage, I would be further out !

not quite so sure what is so terrible about that....

...I hear Cows, Crows, Barred Owls, Coyotes howling, and a real treat is a good Coon brawl ( Raccoons ) now and then, we also have deer in our yard about everyday and night and several spotted fawns lately racing all around on their wobbly legs. We also have a pair of Pileated Woodpeckers nesting nearby. A Fire Dept is a mile away and that gets all the dogs howling whenever the sirens go off..........good times :D
