I'm not seeing my thread?

Have a thread running on "Poteats Engine Rebuilders". But ever since I posted, I have not seen it in
"whats new". I can only view it , by going to "General Chit Chat". I have it marked as Email alerts.
Would that keep me from seeing my own thread/post?
 
That is because no one has added to it since the last time you where in that thread. If you read it and see whats new, it drops off until someone adds to the thread.
 
I was wondering same thing i couldnt see my threads either! Now i know... Thanks snappy
 
Rodney it does to others, you posted in it so it sees you as viewed it... Subscribe to it and check it that way is the easiest way to keep up with it.
 
So, I got marked as "watched thread, w/email alerts". Under this, I wont see it under "whats new". If I want to see it in "whats new", I need to drop the email alert?
 
URRR whaT? I started this thread, & can see it! But the "poteats", have never seen, in whats new.:confused: Well, I'm done with that thread anyway; might as well delete it. THANKS
 
No. You just posted in it... so it's not "new".

What's New only shows you .... What's New. ;) That's regardless of whether or not you're watching the thread.
 
if you bump your own thread, its still not "new" to you...someone else has to add to it for it to be new to you and appear in your "whats new"
 
rodney let me spell this out because it took me a while, but now that i get it i love it

Under whats new you will only see thread that have a posts since your last visit.
SO If I go post in your poteat thread it will then show up in whats new.
The fact that it dosnt show up MEANS that no one has posted in it since YOU last read it.

Ron, Shawn, Snappy, I think I understand [thought]what's being said. No doubt some or all you have looked at the thread. I have had 4 members, post to it, & the only place it has shown up to me, was by email alert, or going to General CC, to view it! Let's not worry about it, anymore. Thanks Guys
New Thought= Since I was getting the alerts, I viewed the post, then returning to "whats new", the system saw them as already Read. If that's the case, I don't care for it.
