I am looking at buying an electric impact wrench on CL and it has 240 ft lbs of torque. Is this much power or on the weak side. Thanks -Mike

On Sale right now for $479.00

I have a DeWalt battery impact and I like it. The snap-on is better though.

Yeah the snap on is a little out of my price range. How powerful should I be looking for?

240 ft lbs is probably strong enough for what you'll use it for. i am guessing, just taking wheels on and off and some other random shit right? i would also assume your wheels take less than 200 ft lbs to keep them on right?

I want one cause I have always used just hand tools and it wears me out after I have to do something. I can't get my u-bolts on a '77 axle off without the truck feeling like its gonna come off jackstands. I guess I'm gonna go with the one I found on CL cause its only $40

honestly, on very stuck u-bolts I had better luck w/ a 1/2" drive ratchet and a 4' pipe on the end for leverage and lots of profanity.
