I recently got a 95 zj for my frist jeep and the guy i bought it from said it had 5.5 inches of lift. once i put 32's on it instead of 33s it seemed a lot smaller and the lift is only about 3 inches. im pretty sure he did the front to rear spring swap and put coil spacers in the front. with this set up i have around 3-3.5 inches of lift. i want to add another inch or two. what would be the cheapest way to do this? there are already new control arms on it so what would i have to do if i put bigger springs in it and would bigger springs be all i need to add lift?

i had a three inch pro crap lift on my old zj and decided it needed some more height, put spacers on it without new control arms and it messed stuff up. if you do lift it more you definitely need new adjustable control arms made for around 5 inches of lift (RE 4.5 CA's maybe). if you dont already have it get a tc drop or sye/driveshaft also.

i already have a 1inch tc drop so i would just need new control arms and bigger springs?

actually im thinking it will alter your steering as well unless you can adjust your drag link. other than that, i dont see any other problems. i am not a mechanic though, im just talking from my experience, so hopefully some other zj owners will chime in...
bigger springs will give you a little more lift. dont know how much bigger you should go though. probably just get some that are 2 inches longer than the ones that would come wiht the 3 inch kit. but your current springs might have settled down a lot and are not as long as they were to begin with. and you could probably get some from a junkyard. your shocks should be long enough right now. if you can, get rid of the spacers and make it all coils and no spacers.

yea you can lift zj's. i have a 95 and it has around a 3 inch lift and im running 32's. i used to have 33" swampers on it. i have a solid front axle and a 5.2 v8 in it. a zj is a grand cherokee. are you thinkin of something else?
