Inexpensive lift for a Dodge?

I want to put a little lift on my tow rig. It's a 98 24 valve CTD 2500. I am wanting about 2-3 inches and was wondering what I can do? I know I can put a leveling kit on the front but I want to lift the rear 2-3 inches as well. So what are my options? How high can I go before I start needing to worry about drive shafts and steering? Thanks!
 
Do a leveling kit and leave the rear like it is. I can't stand the raked look they give them from the factory. Otherwise, I've seen people use an add-a-leaf. I've also seen one of them break in half cruising down the road...
 
3 inch top gun customz leveling kit is about the best deal ive seen. the rear probally aready has a 5 inch block. i did a 98 24 valve and swapped it out for a 6 inch block. however i think it would be better to do a add a leaf.
 
do the leveling kit. and a little bigger tire.
 
you won't need any driveshaft or steering mods for anything 3" or less. you'll need a drop pitman arm and trackbar bracket for anything more. you don't need driveshaft work until you go over 8 inches.
 
After looking around I think I am just going to do a leveling kit and run some bags in the rear to help when I'm loaded or pulling. I think I'm going to stick with the 2 inch leveling kit. What would everyone recommend? Also, What are some good not so pricey bag kits out there? Thanks!
 
I personally like the daystar kit, it is a 2" kit, IIRC the skyjacker kit is a 3" kit, I know alot of people say up to 3" you do not need other parts, but for 3" I really feel you need an adjustable trac bar and longer front shocks. 2" you can squeeze by with no other mods except for maybe a longer set of front shocks
