Getting ready to have my chassis done. Looking for feedback on Powder River Powder Coating around Vale NC area. Looking for good or bad experiences with this company. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

As long as you ain't in a hurry, they medium. The one thing that can be said is there have been better powdercoaters around but most have sold out/gone out of business.

If I were you I would drive it to Charlotte.

I've used CRC, HM Elliot, and Race City Powdercoating, all in Mooresville. Good results all around, but I usually favor CRC for most stuff.

Only reason is because that's what I want. :flipoff2:

All my stuff Powder river did on my Jeep turned out great. Body armor, fenders, different cover, and winch mount.
I was going to have them do my cage but I knew it was really going to get screwed up scraping trees and rocks so I just bombed it so I could touch it up....and have never touched it up cause I like those little battle scars.
They did mess up slightly on a metal door I had done and offered to redo it but it wasn't critical.

Call R&R Powdercoating and talk to Tim Hayes.

I second them as well. They have done some overflow coating for us in the past and their quality was great on our products. The are located in Dallas, NC toll free number is 1-866-0604-9363

Advanced Powdercoating in Cherryville did my front bumper with a textured black. Cost me roughly $80, it's been several years and I've got no complaints.

Powder River not for from highway 70 in Hickory??? Is this Vale area or did they move?
If we are talking the hickory folks everything I have had done large or small was mediocre to sub par.
Flat fenders for a TJ were so lightly coated they showed pin hole rust in a week flat.
A very nice custom bed I built was almost as bad. My customer didn't want to remove and go through the remount.
I also got really varying quotes and time frames.
It's a hard competitive business.
PJ uses a shop in Mocksville.
Mocksville actually has two shops and I've heard good about both.

I am almost certain he uses Landmark Coatings. I have done a little welding for them.
Mark has a really neat Rate of with some cool home brew suspension.

What he said. Tim knows what we do and they do great work and a ton of business.

I’ll never spray bomb tube again after having my chassis powder coated. It’s been rolled and dragged across rocks all over the place and holds up way better than paint. I got matching paint in cans from a paint store for the tubes that see a lot of abuse and it matches up great.
