I hav a 95 jeep XJ with a 4.6 stroker in it. All the injectors, fuel reg. ect are stock 4.0. I just put in some 5.0l mustang injectors and my jeep will stall and not rev. I have checked all the injectors and they are fine. When I put the stock injectors back in the jeep runs great. Will I need to change the fuel reg or program the computer? Any Help would be great. Thanks Scott

are you sure its a stroker in there? need to check your fuel pressure with vac line disconnected and plugged. What lb injectors did you put in. Stock xj are 19lb, so are stock 5.0's, blue injectors from ford racing were 24lb

Yes, its a stroker. I looked up the part number and it says they are 24 lbs. ford injectors. I can put the stock injectors back in and it runs fine.

Need to put an 02 gauge on it. You can do Map adjusters and fuel pressure adjustments to get it to run decent with your new injectors but it still won't be close to perfect without a tune.

I don't know where you're located but I have a wideband here at the shop if you would like to see where you're at with your stock injectors and your new ones. If all you've done is put in a 4.6 long block with stock everything else it's probably running a bit lean even though it sounds like it's running good. I'd be careful beating on it too hard with stock injectors. Riching up beyond running with the 24lb-ers in cause it's still shooting the same pulse width to those big injectors.

Put a wideband o2 gauge on, otherwise you wont have a clue what its doing, you could have some bad injectors, Ive got some 24lb if you want to try them. Also have a ported intake and throttle body with 24lbs in them already. Ive put 24lb. ones in a stock jeep before without issue, just runs a little rich, id say you have something going on with the injectors? I got my aem widebang with gauge from summit for around 180. Good luck
