Been going to school at NCSU for three years now but every time my inspection is due I am at home. Where is good place to get it done? This might be a stupid question but would a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee need the $30 inspection instead of the $10 in Wake County? Only reason I ask is because my fiance had said she had heard something about all cars had to have the $30 one, do to the large amount of cars.

It should be $10. I usually juts take mine to the jiffy lube on western.
While I would normally scream on about how all Jiffy Lubes are evil, especially that one, which I personally know 2 people whose cars they have ruined, for inspections it's definitely the place to go...
I, um, know, um, this friend that has taken several raggedy vehicles there and they pretty much will just slap a sticker on there...
and it's the county where the vehicle is registered that determines how serious the inspection is, not where you get it inspected. At least that's how it was before all my rides got too old for that mess.
:)

Anything built '96 or newer has to pass the OBD and safety test. Your '93 should be just fine as long as all safety items are in good shape. Safety inspection is only $10 anywhere you go.
