ok...in the process of building a buggy, currently it is in my parents garage. how does the whole insurance thing work in this situation? mainly i am concerned with theft (highly unlikely, but hey, you never know), fire, and damage that could occur as it is being towed.
is this covered under homeowners, while it is in the garage (both theft and fire), assuming that i have full receipts and whatnot?
what about when it is on the trailer, heading down the road? say someone plows into it....how would i declare a value? aside from receipts, how is labor figured, would the ins. company want an estimate from an established 4x4 company?
it will not be titled or street legal when it is finished if that makes a difference.
any input?
