I love to design and build things. I have some experience with welding but nothing more than a few college credits with arc welding (25 years ago) and playing around with my small Harbor Freight Mig Flux welder at home. I am self taught in AutoCad and can find my way around pretty well on basic stuff but I need hands on and instruction. I don't do well in a classroom so I thought I would see if anyone could use an Intern. No pay, I just want to help out, and be around it. I just thought if I threw this out there that someone who could use a couple of extra hands, and that I could learn from, we could both benefit.

Main draw back is the time I have available. I work full time during the week, so I would not be available until 4:30 or 5 m-f and my Sundays are taken with church (yes, pretty much all day). I do have Saturdays that I could help out and some evenings during the week.

I live about 2 miles from C3 Church (if you know where that is) and about 10 minutes from 40/42 (exit 312 on I40).

I don't know if this will work out for someone in the area, but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask.

Respond here or PM me and I will send you my contact info.

volunteer on an ecors crew. im sure someone needs some hands keeping their rig running. and be willing to teach ya a few things along the way.

I wouldn't have a problem helping out with all aspects of the sport. The problem is I know nothing about ECORS nor where to even start with asking. Also, I did not want to narrow my search to a specific area, thus why I posted it here.

I wish you were closer, I have a lot of fab work to be done on my ECORS racer, and only work on the weekends!

Wish I was closer too. While I would like to learn more about the fabrication end, I also want to learn all aspects I can about working on a 4x4 (I have a project 1989 Ranger that I'm toying around with). Anything from SAS, lifts, swapping engines, roll bars/cages... it doesn't really matter to me. I just love working on trucks and learning about them.
