We need to find an internet provider for our new house. Just wondering if anyone has any preferences. We don't plan on getting cable, don't feel like paying for it, so just looking at the internet side. Just wondering if anyone has any preference for one over the other.

I don't have cable. I'm using DSL through the phone company @3mb, when we did have RR it averaged 3mb anyway. With phone bill and internet its like $50/month.
 
Look into Earthlink. Last I checked, it used Time Warner's infrastructure, but was $5-10 cheaper per month.
 
I have TWC Roadrunner and have never had issues. Neighbor has AT&T Uverse and seems to like it. The speed of the uverse depends on how close you are to one of their hubs. TWC had the the best price for my situation. Embarq was not an option where I live in Raleigh.
