well since i finally got my photobuket working i can post a few pics. i'm turning 17 in a few months, sophmore in high school. live in greensboro. i drive a 88 suburban. bonestock, but we all start off somewhere right??? only legit place i've gone off roading is carolina backwoods but will go to ure sometime next year when i have some mods. all i think about is offroading so hopefully i can pick up the pace and ride with some of you guys in the future. along with driving a kick ass car i surf, sail, scuba, and play a few sports. im on the hunt for a sponser as well. any help with that would be appreciated. :bounce2:

Good lookin suburban.

keep the burb like it is and go find a beater and trailer. Much more fun and you have a great ride to pull it with.

oh yea, welcome

yep x3 on towing with the burban. If you wheel it and start getting serious, you'll probably tear it all to pcs. and end up getting a beater anyway.

Welcome to nc4x4!

They all probally speak from experiance, my first off road vehicle was a one ton burban! Duke Power acutioned it off two years of duty! 1972 and everybody called it Trailmaker or The Troopcarrier! I found yhe hard way it takes more Jeeps and Toyotas to unstuck a burban than you have tow hooks! Didn't take long for a 8274Warn! Good luck and welcome, and I'd really think about what they suggested.

P.S. I still own a burban.

I agree with macdaddy, Was I supposed to do that?

Welcome and following up on what Mac said, very mature intro. Hat's off to ya.

no 454. i know a guy that rebuild engines an has a chevy big block just sitting in the wind? hmmm 300 horses me gusta

yeah that'd be nice, but i'd save my pennies for a light weight wheeler ( SAS toy, sammi...) and just run the burb as is.
