irok wheel size question

when runnin 39.5 iroks on 16" wheels, what width works best? interco suggests a 16x12....but since when have manufacturers been right?

You going to run beadlocks? I assume this is a trail only rig since you are going with Iroks.

trail only, except for a few midnight runs through the neighborhood.....no beadlocks initially, will do weld on locks if i decided they need them

I'd say no wider than 10"... 8's with a wide weld-on kit like Rockstomper's

They need bead locks. Take my word for it. You didn't mention how wide the tire is? I'm running 36 X 13.5 on 10" rims.

I'm running 36x13.50 on 15x8 steelies...

sanded down the powdercoating where the bead seats...used a little bead sealer...and run 'em at about 6-7PSI on the trails...haven't lost a bead (yet)...

I do run the radials...but they still flex pretty decent:
