Ironman TJ 4link bracket vs Enduro Joints

I just started prepping some parts to 1ton 3/4 link my TJ this winter. I have the Ironman 4x4 welded 4 link brackets and the 1-1/4” Barnes joints. The issue is the the lower hole in the bracket isn’t offset down enough to clear the body of the joint. It is also pretty tight front/back. It looks to me like the hole needs to shift 1/2” down and forward but I’m not sure the best way to do that. Do I plate over the outsides with new hole? How much clearance do I need around the joint body?

I’ve already opened up the hole for the 5/8” bolt. The first and last pic is with the body of the joint against the mount. A 9/16 bolt will not go through both sides even though the hole is over sized.

It looks like there isn't enough clearance in the bracket for a joint that big.

That’s right, but it looks like a FK JMX 1.25 heim has a 2.95” body which is what the enduro joint measures. RuffStuff 1.25s are a 2.75” body. Neither would really solve the problem. I’ll reach out to Andy, but it looks like they were built around 7/8” joints.

I ran into the same issue with Enduro joints and I got my brackets from Barnes! I ended up clearancing the bracket itself.
I drilled out where it needed it.

This was going to be my suggestion. Reach out to Andy.
