I'm trying to figure out how to run the drain/vent plumbing in a new addition I've built onto my house and am not sure what is code and what is not. I've copied pages from the code books, but it's almost like reading a foreign language.

HELP!

I can snap some pictures of what I've got laid out if that helps.

Hots on the left and colds on the right,:poop: dont run up hill.

I think thats all ya need to know to be a plumber:lol:

Sorry, I could'nt resist!

i am. give me a detailed description or a diagram of what you're doing and i can help.

Here is the way the bathroom is laid out:

---------
| |
| X| Toilet (24 feet from main house wall)
- -----
| |
| S| Sink (5 feet from toilet)
|
| |
---------
| |
S| Shower (11 feet from sink)
| |
| T| Whirlpool tub drain (6 feet from shower)
---------
-----MAIN HOUSE WALL------

I hope that works.

What I need to figure out is how to run the venting. I ran a 4" drain pipe underneath the floor already and put the closet bend and flange in for the toilet and put sanitary tees in for all the other stuff but that's really as far as I have done. I still need to cut out the floor to put in traps. I'm sure when it's explained to me it will be stupid simple (at least to a plumbing contractor), but when I'm standing there staring at a blank wall with what little code I do know swimming in my head and not wanting to have to "re-do" anything, I want to do it right the first time.

It took out all the spaces I put between the "walls", but I think you can get an idea of how it's laid out.
