Hey everyone I am new to the forum and am underage as well. If anyone is willing to be my sponsor that would be great and feel free to ask any questions you have. I figured I would give you some info about me and my heep first.
Here is a little bit about me: I am 17 years old and am a senior in HS. I will be going to NCSU next year for mechanical engineering. I am also in Scouts and currently working on my eagle project. (If any of yall are familiar with Southwest Forsyth Little League in Clemmons, I am building some picnic tables to go under a shelter and it should be completed this Saturday). I love working on my jeep, playing MW2 on my PS3, and just hanging out with friends. If you are interested in the classes I am in, I am taking Hn Anatomy, Hn shakespeare (those are my two slack classes), AP calculus, AP psychology, AP Literature and Composition, and AP Physics.
Here is a little about my jeep: It is a 2000 Orange Wrangler 5spd with the 4L in it. I have a 4" procomp lift, 33s, A to Z fab bumper, KC fogs and Delta headlights, 4.56 gears in D30 and D35, Aussie in D30, and i have some little things like a CB/PA, grab handles, seat covers, etc. Unfortunately, my D30 ring and pinion got shredded last time I went wheeling so it has been retired to the garage until I can get money to fix it. I think that my cousin installed the gears wrong since they broke very easily. Future plans definitely include new axles and from there, I have no idea what I might do. There are so many different ways to go about building it up.

Thank you. I did wheel on a man's private property until he got tired of people trashing the place and messing in his fields-I dont know who did it really. There were trails and a bit of a mud pit/bowl but I think he is trying to plant crops or something and so we cant go there anymore. I have riden to URE twice with people but didnt take my jeep. The first time I was saving money for prom and if something broke I would be screwed. The second time, I was having the jeep regeared so I just rode along with some friends. I did trespass once where there was this sewage pipe line through the woods after having the itch to wheel and getting talked into it a little; URE was closed. It was a place where people have gone and so I thought I would test out the gears/locker. Got caught the first time I did and learned my lesson. That is when the d30 gears broke so it was prob Karma for doing wrong. I can guarantee that I will not do it again. So pretty much, the only places I know of is URE or other places which you already know about. What about you?

i skimmed it an saw that you will be going to NCSU

freshman year, stay at University Towers. tell your parents whatever you have to to stay there. there is ass out the wazoo up there. i stayed there my freshman year and havent regretted it a bit.

I'm lucky that I have about 3 acres of hills and hollars and my sister has about 2 that join mine so thats where most of my scratch-in and testing takes place. I've been to URE a time or two and the open invite at the flates in marion and plan on going to the DPG this weekend. You should come over I'm sure you will find a sponsor there I'll be in the blue CJ7 on 35's.

I looked at the dates and I dont think I can get my jeep done by then. I would like to get it done by my spring break which I think is the first week URE is open. I still have doubts that I can get it trail worthy or even street worthy by then. Thanks though and Jeepinmatt has sponsored me. We seem to have a lot in common as far as interests and I could definitely benefit from his wealth of knowledge.
