is calalantee still open?

technically, Nita only stopped running it. The trustee's over the estate are the ones who did not want it re-opened

I really miss that place...

amazing how people are so happy being ignorant. And yes I miss that place. Best wheeling with in 4 hours of charlotte.

you people are ridiculous..... look up sarcasm on google....... any sorry if i jumped to the conclusion that it was based on liberal action and or agenda, but 90% of the time a park closes, or is shut down its because of some sort of dem mumbo jumbo.

Still in morning over my favorite place being closed......

Your being trolled...

This place is what got me into wheelin. Had a great trail system and all the hard stuff you dared to do. I miss it greatly and its closure has really hurt our sport and hobby locally. I can only dream and pray that one day it will reopen. I do enjoy doing the more extreme stuff as much as the next guy but trail riding in the woods of the Appalachain mountains is second to none. Lets dont just forget about this place guys because its not shut down because of government issues or forest rangers saving the land. If there is anyone that knows any updates or ways we can help to show our voice post up and let us know.

To simplify this as much as I can
Mr Brown Died(owner)
Control of property went into the hands of the trustee's
We had a group of investors that was ready to foot the tab to re-open the park
Trustee's consulted attorneys, attorneys recommended to them to NOT allow us or anyone to re-open the property.
This ended all talks.

Now, there is only one way that we can wheel it again. That was is if someone or some group comes up with the coin to buy it.
Simply math will tell you, that you could not buy it, and make payments, someone wealthy or if someone in our "group" wins a lottery.

Now, to add to all of this, I am not even sure that it is for sale.

Thanks for the sad update Chip. Guess my trail riding days in mountain city will remain a dream and hope still for now. On a second note...it will be my first pruchace if i win the lottery!! :driver:Hell, i want even charge for the first year!!

anyway to contact them about maybe a "few times a year" scnario? or a "for charity" thing? who has their info? ill email them if i can get the info and see if i can show them there is money to be made off the property
