Ok im am right now looking to purchase a 2005 Dodge 2500 Diesel and am wondering if it is worth what hes askin.

Hes askin 23,000$

Mods:
Super B Special Single Turbo 1700$
Fully Built Tranny 3000-4000$
LCD Head Unit 200$
Dual 10"s Under Back Seat
5 or 6" Ruff Country Lift
Smarty Chip/Programmer
Raptor 150 Adjustable Fuel Pump
Magnaflow 5" Exhaust
3 Sets of Tires and Rims
Classic Locks with BFG AT 37 12.50 18
Black rims with Mud Grappler 37 13.50 18
18s with some Kumho 35" road tires
4.10 Gears
Injectors, dont know what they are
And more prolly forgetting other stuff too

He also said that the programmer controls the tranny, fuel pump and computer. Nice truck, quick, will roll the coal when you floor it.

thats gonna be a matter of opinion.
For me...no a 150k mile anything with that many mods is not worth 23k....

might wanna figure out why someone dumps that much money in then sales it...

well i know why the guy sellin it is really really rich and is gettin a 2011 Cummins and doesnt really drive it anymore cause he has 3 other cars

If hes so rich offer him 15k :)

I wouldn't pay 23k for a vehicle with that high mileage, and especially not being that heavily modded.

Price seems high

It's only worth what you're willing to pay for it.

If it were me in your situation... young guy, etc. No way in hell I'd buy a truck with that many mods and that many miles. It might turn out fine... or it might break a valve stem in six months and cost you $5-6k to rebuild the motor... or drop the trans again, or any number of different things. I'd be hunting for something stock w/lower miles. Save the hot rodding for when you've got more disposable income.

Thats what i was hoping to do. Thinking i could get him down to around 19k or less but hes also in no rush to sell it since hes has 3 other cars.

Not worth it..... I would also echo what these other guys are saying... Buying a ride like that is setting yourself up for some potentially major hassles. Just doesn't seem worth it to me. Personally I will modify anything but my tow rig.

id offer him 20k and see what he does if ur like me i like to mod stuff so buying it the way i want it is better for me. any pics of the truck? also if you got it i might be interesed in a set of those tires

What model is the truck? ST, SLT, Laramie? Quad cab or Reg cab? How's the overall condition? Who built the trans? THe only thing that's likely to give you trouble is the transmission. Sounds like everything has been done right. Sounds like a fair price for all that's been done and the extra tires and wheels can be sold to offset some of the cost if you wanted to. NCCummins on here has a truck that has similar mods and it has around 320,000 miles on the clock and the engine shows no signs of wear whatsoever. If you're getting it for Kelly Blue Book or less you're getting a good deal. Diesel trucks without emissions equipment are long gone so they've become a little harder to find and the value of them has increased over the past year or so. I bought mine in May and the book value has went up about $3000 since then.

And fyi the programmer does not control the trans, fuel pump, or computer. It reprograms the computer. Go to www.madselectronics.com and it will explain to you what it does.
