IS nc4x4 a non profit?

I was just wondering how this board is set up. I know pirate is for profit and they rake it in by the truckloads. I think I heard at one time this was non profit and extra money was donated, but I may be confused. I know in the last few years several things have changed to bring in some money but I realize there are many costs also.

I'd hope like hell that nc4x4 is a FOR profit venture.

With that said, I think it would be beneficial to have some sort of non-profit status set up. There are lots of ways this could be used to the benefit of others.

The website is owned by NC4x4, LLC, a for-profit corporation. Profit is relative, of course. I think that once we do the 12 Days giveaway, we'll break even for the year... maybe be slightly in the hole.

I have no idea exactly how big Pirate is, but I think that 15-20x bigger is a good guess. If we were bringing in 20x the revenue we're bringing in now, we'd be doing pretty well.

I hope the forum does at least make something. I've bought a few t-shirts to somewhat show my appreciation due to the fact that this forum has put quite a bit of money in my pocket and even more knowledge. It's a very good thing and I hope that it only gets better! Props to whoever makes it all happen!
