Damn i know the exchange tanks are a few buck more than the actual cost but damn they changed the sings just after i bought my tank yesterday to almost $20 for a 20# grill tank...

Whats it costing you guys with the pane on your rigs?

Mike.
I pay $1.79 a gallon, if I buy over 20 gallons at a time. It's about $10.75 to fill a BBQ tank here.

Where are good priced places to buy propane around Raleigh and Burlington? I'm going to be helping my bro-in-law build an old CJ, and he wants to run propane on the V8. But if it's going to be hard to fill up for a decent price, I bet he'll stick with a carb.

I'm not sure what their prices are now, but I used to work at True Value in Durham while I was in high school, and they were usually pretty reasonably priced. I think they have a set price for BBQ 20 pound tanks, then anything higher or lower they charge per volume. 919-544-1711 if you want to call and ask. Located on Hwy 54 near the Hwy 54 and Hwy 55 intersection.

That place quoted me I think $18 for a 33# fork tank a few months ago.. Just called, $3.89 a gallon.

EDIT: FlyinJ at exit 150 is $2 a gallon. I wish there were truckstops right outside the Triangle...

I use Burk Brothers Hardware Store on Hillsboro Street just outside the beltline to fill my tanks. I also noticed the U-Haul center just down the road from there heading towards Cary on the left at the Old Time BBQ Place sells it as well. Don't know their going rate, have to call.

I do know there prices but there is a BP on 751 by Jordan LAKE that has a large LP tank

They were over $3 a gallon just before the hurricane... I was thinking I might be in luck...

Studnuts... your tanks are so cheap to fill because they're 1/2 full when you bring 'em in... :flipoff2:

Seriously, sounds like your guy is the only one not gouging... or he has a HUGE tank that hasn't needed to be refilled yet.
