Is this a decent deal on this 97 TJ

Looks like all good parts, can't build it for that.

Thats what I was thinking. He has a jk he's building and doesn't need 2 jeeps. Going to check it out Tom.

119,000 miles.

I'd say that's a pretty good deal. Ton of upgrades done to it and its clean with low miles. Very nice jeep.

Ya idk how much I should try and get it for if it all checks out good. What should I offer?

10K at the least. If you are serious let him know and test drive it before you offer and cash amount. The serious interest will help encourage him to maybe let it go for a few hundred less than asking price.

Good Luck. I wish I had that type of money to shop around with. :D

10 k at the least ? I wanna have it checked out before I make an offer. It's deployment money man lol I just got back and don't feel like building one since my Xj build was a mess. He also has 3.5 coils for it would those be a better ride with the short arms and 35s?

Seems a little high to me. Regardless of parts, its a 97 TJ with 119k miles. I've got a 2000 TJ with 90k miles thats similarly built and clean, and I just assumed it would be tough to even get $10k for it. Also, a shortarm lift with 4.5" springs would steer me away unless I planned to lower it or put longarms on it.

Ya he has 3.5 inch springs for it but I still wonder how good it rides and flexes I was thinking maybe $9k

I have a 4" lift with front adjustable lowers and custom made square tube uppers. It flexes like crazy and rides down the road at 65+ quite well. I have 33s though. It's nice and worth 10 if that's the one you really want. But I wouldn't pay more. A little shopping may find you something a bit newer. It's all in what YOU want and what your willing to pay.

I agree not sure if its adjustable or not will the 410s and 35s be ok ? Would $9500 be reasonable? I like it and the miles don't seem to be too bad

4.10's and 35s will be ok. I've had 35's with 4.56 and 4.88, and 4.56's were perfect, I think 4.10 will be a little lacking, but not worth changing.

I have 36s with a 5speed and 4:10s, I really want 4.88 but mine isn't driven a lot and I have bias ply tsls so I'm not sure how it does on the highway, but around town I just cruise in 4th until I get over 50. Seems to pull 5th pretty well still but I haven't taken down the highway.

I agree. Looks like a $8,500-9,000 jeep to me

Thanks guys I wanna get it for less than 10k and ill be happy. Anyone know of any other tjs for sale? I was hoping 4:10s wouldn't be to bad. Not sure why he elected for those 4:88s should have been the same price

$11,500 is too high for a Jeep that will be 17 years old in less than 2 months.

I offered $9500 he said he would call in a few days if he doesn't get any bites. Idk if I'd wanna keep the 35s or not. May wanna trade for 33s and throw the 3.5 springs on.
