I have a 97 jeep grand Cherokee. Its completely stock. Looking to get stared. Need some tips. Looking for a lift kit. Wanna run 35x12.50x15. Thanks in advace.

what engine/gears do you have? for 35's you are probably looking at a re-gear no matter what.
If you have a Dana 35 in the back and want 35x12.50s, throw it away right now and get a real axle.
a 4.5 lift on a ZJ is pushing it with factory short arms-if your serious, look into a long arm style, it will ride, handle, and articulate much better.
plan on adjustable track bars, with that much tire, i would recommend reinforcing the track bar mounts, both front and back, also look into beefier tie-rods and steering linkage, the factory sideways-Y design gets harder to deal with when lifted
How much trimming were you planning on? 35's will take a good bit on a grand unless lifted alot.
there's more to consider as well, this is off the top of my head,i'm sure a couple others will chime in as well

I will tell you that running a 31" is tough with a good kit because of the amount of wheel travel. A good short arm will stuff a stock sized tire into the wheel well without proper bump stops. Thing with the coil suspension is that is not so much about lift height but rather bump stops, fender trimming, and pushing the axle forward. I hate to say it but unless you plan on some axle upgrades like mentioned above...you are better off just sticking to a smaller tire. Chasing tire diameter gets expensive especially on something like that which has undesirable axles to start with.

Is this a V8? If so, double that statement. You will have plenty to deal with like getting a real tcase and wondering if the aluminum axle is worth spending money on.

It doesn't sound like your truck is built yet. Personally, I'd put some sliders and other skids on it, get a good set of bumpers, bolt on a $300 winch, and put in a spacer lift with some aggressive 31s or 32s. Wheel it for a year and figure outflow are ready to dump some coin into it. What you have on it will stay and winch will get you out, bigger tires only get you in further.
