It's idiots like this...

I can tell you...they ain't from around here.

One of the comments from the poster states that it's private land. If that's the case, then it's no worse than stripping out trees to put up a shed, IMO. Was it smart to post it on youtube where some eco nut can take it out of context and use it against us? Probably not.

I have done the same thing on private land owned by a friend of mine. He used it for hunting deer and told us we could cut paths anywhere we wanted.

If it was public land I would call them idiots but it's private so let it be. Nice Blazer too.

I have to agree private land is private to do as the land owner allows or he sees fit. Its no different than a landowner allowing a club to have a place to play and host riding weekends

I know the guy who posted that vid (blazinchuck) and he's an avid wheeler and owner of the carolinabroncos.com forum. Stand up guy all around. If it's private land, do what you will. If you don't have an excavator or other heavy equipment, that's the way to literally blaze a new trail.

... who ruin things for everybody else.

"Blazer friend making way".

Worse yet, his pals think it's funny.

Unbelievable.:shaking:
you are something else...you know nothing and claim to know all.this is a stupid thread :shaking:

when im on a trail...i bring back the shitz wheeler's leave behind...those are the ones to blame! we have enough asshats...dumping their crap on that land(boats, tires, trash, etc.) that we clean up!!! who are you?(mister never done a damn thing?) dont start stuff you know nothing about.:flipoff2:

Yeah, I've done WAAAAY meaner things to trees on private land in our 325 cat... I was building a road so I had to.

If that was public land, way different story. There are typically regulations as to the size of trees you can cut on your own land without a permit, but if you can run if over with a little thing like a blazer then you probably don't need a permit.

Thats how i made trails on my land, the neighbors land...the other neighbors land. Thay all appreciate the nice trails they have to ride 4 wheelers on, walk around ect.. But yeah, national forest land, thats a no no.
Also, same way at Callalante...make a trail if ya want to. How do you think Armor all come about? Pull cable? Several others.
Anyone know how armor all got it's name? Or who named it?........ME and a few other Buddies. I was first w/ chainsaw and jeep. We all spent the day clearing-pull jeeps foward...clear some more. At the end, my tires were shiny and looked like they had been Armour all'ed...hence the name''Armour all'' In fact there have been several CTB trips up there for trail making purposes. JC on this board has done a lot of trail making, along with many others. Did ya know, that at the end of Armour all, when you take a right and go straight up the hill,to the base of pull cable...the armour all trail actually keeps going, and gets rougher, but at the end it is a straight up winch climb that is not very fun, to say the least. Its just not worth the feffort to keep going, so most turn right to exit and head up to base of pull cable.
Just a little info and history yall may not have known.;)

Really?

I have a brother that runs his own forestry company and I have helped him a lot over the last 15 years. This is the first time I have ever heard of needing a permit to cut trees of a certain size.

Agreed....have a degee in forest resource management and passed the sc registered foresters exam (never was a registered forester, because I didnt put in 5 years) and thats the first Ive ever heard of it.

HELL I actually cut a sequoia down on a buddys land in northern california that was over 5' across....it took us 4 hours but if we cut it (in the Socialist republic of california no less) w/o a permit you should be golden....

You realize that this caused 4 puppies to die and 8 treehuggers to be born. Way to go Ron...

well in chapel hill you do, otherwise you get a fine and have to replace the cut down tree as well as another to make up for the damage. Hell, you probably have to have a permit to even hug a tree there

I spent 2 days carvin a complete trail system on 10 private acres that a good friend of mine owns here in TN. we used my 86 Bronco, 79 Bronco and his 79 Bronco. Picked a route between bigger trees and plowed down the smaller ones. Some of the most fun I have had in a long time.

As for doin it on PUBLIC LAND hell no. Any respectable offroader knows that they are not supposed to do it and they don't unless an accident occurs where they end up off the trail and that is the only way back to the trail. When it comes to Videos like this the root of the video should be addressed and asked about before finger pointing is done.
