I know the guys at the test board. As a matter of fact the NCOIC is a good friend of mine. I haven’t spoken with him, but heads are sure to role. Heavy drops are a computer calculated release. Based on winds and atmospherics, the computer flips on the green light and that’s your cue to go/release. Sounds like somebody input a grid wrong and the guys on the ramp were just doing what they know. That was always a scare as jumpmaster. I always made damn sure I knew where I was before I kicked anything or anybody out.
