had this done a few years back.

I downloaded my physical therapy from the internets and did them religiously daily. I was pulling the engine from my jeep in 5 weeks, just to see if I was ready to go back to work. Back at the plant in 6 weeks.

Take the pain meds as instructed, if you miss it's hard to get caught up on the pain. Get a toilet seat riser, that was the hardest for me in the first 2 weeks. and a walker to get you started on 2 feet again.

Good luck!

What is the reason for the knee replacement?

I’ve been getting lubricant injections in my right knee for 12 years now due to arthritis, I’m 48, and frustrated that they say I’m too young to get surgery and I can’t run and do some of the things I want to do. Plus the pain keeps me up at night.

for me, the meniscus after 3 trims. completely bulged to one side and left me with bone to bone contact. quite painful.

Knee #1 was bone ground into bone. Old rec league softball injury.
So long ago it was when they didn't do automatic ACL/MCL grafts.

The one today is 35 years of bearing the weight and slack from the original bad knee.
bone spurs, and bone on bone

Arthritis in both.

But narcotic make me fluffy! I am taking OxyCodone but alternating with Tylenol so I’m not taking so much. Funny thing is this knee I way more stiff and less mobile than the first one, even though the first one was much worse

I recommend using a TENS unit for pain. I had foot surgery years ago and the doc gave me one of those instead of pain meds. I still use it on my knee and my back. It’s basically two sticky pads that you put on the area and it gives you electric shock to temporarily disrupt the nerve signal. it works great.
