thought I would finally post up some pics of the j truck I have been working on. when I bought it had a 258 with t 18/dana 20 in it. It now has a 350 mated to a 465/205 14 bolt rear locked and a 44 front locked. just need to finish the suspension and some odd stuff

First I have seen a dove tailed J truck, that's Kewl!
Take you some spare shafts and lockouts when you go wheelin', THose axles won't like the big meats.
What area of Morganton are you in?

I live out 64. actually bought the truck to have something to wheel while I built my yj on tons. just wasnt happy with the 6 cyl. then found other issues that had to be done. Ive had the truck for over a year just no time to work on it, or maybe too many projects. hopefully finish the truck this month and get started on the yj.
my plans for the yj, 350/350th/205 d 60 ft/d70 rr

I thought the mountain range in the background looked familiar, Not too far from it sounds, I am out 64 too(if you go that way) I am on Goldmine rd

the truck is at a friends garage near burkemount mtn. a couple more of my junkers are there too, you can see them in the background. the tailgate still works. thinking about swapping motors this weekend, traded for a truck that seems alot stronger than this 1. but still got to figure out what to do on the susp. the dude that started this project put lifted xj springs on the rr and looks like lifted yj springs on the ft. he bent a rr spring before I got the truck.

ran the weedeater around it. still havent had the time to swap the engines. moving and remodeling a house has took all my time. hope to get back on it soon. when I start back I have thought about 4 linking for the rear.

Holler at me this weekend....I wanna come see that beast

I havent moved it yet. I have a guy coming to clear the trees out of my lower lot. then eveything is coming this way. you can still come by and look at the junk I have been able to move.

the new powerplant is in. now it is time to start at the front and see what all needs to be finished to get this thing on the trails

Finish something and wheel it!!

haha. I did trade for another set of axles for 1 ton yj build.

I have the little yj ready to roll. as soon as I get something finished the green yj is going back to a dd. ( front locker removed)
