this is a little late
i had a guy that i played football with my freshman year that had graduated and went to the army and his contract was almost up he was killed by a suicide bomber in afganastan
jake was a great guy and fought over seas to keep us alive
he was great on and off the field and would help anyone he could
he would take the shirt off his back to give it to you if he felt that you needed it more than him
he was a great athlete but with a dad and a grandfather that have both served in the army he felt it was his duty his turn to step up and fight as well unfortunitly my buddy jake did not make it home
he had a great since of humor and very smart guy couldve been anything he wanted to be but he wanted to make us a better country and that made him a great man

we love you jake and miss you buddy

everybody just please remember that there is always somebody that walks this earth that has our back no matter what

R.I.P Jake Carrol
great friend
great son

We really need to appreciate guys like Jake as well as the guys who make it back.
I have a nephew in the Army, and a brother-in-law who served a tour over there.
I will drink to Jake tonight!

As a infantry soldier and veteran of OEF 9 and 10 my thoughts are with all those who gave all to keep us free. without people like this we would all be screwed.

Also as a soilder with close to 8yrs in the US ARMY and 2 tours to IRAQ I have lost many friends and soilders to this war. Most of them being under 25yrs of age go to war to fight on our behalf. For me i will never forget there names faces and will always remember what they did for us. God be with anyone in a war zone and for there familes waiting back home.
