Lifted a 96 XJ for my boy last year, at which time I installed JCR subframe tie in kit and steering spacer, at a cost of $144.
This morning I called JCR and spoke with Cory (sp?) and started to order a rear bumper, rear tire carrier, hi lift mount, front bumper, but strips, and 1- ton steering upgrade. These parts in bare steel came out to $2524. I told Cory I already bought the tie- ins and spacer that come with the front bumper, and asked him to delete those and credit my $144. He said they had never done that but he would ask. Comes back on phone couple minutes later and says they can "keep" the parts I already have, but can not take the $144 off! Are you serious? So I can buy them again AND not get them? Holy sh*t!
So now, I'm looking for recommendations on good bumpers for XJ. And f*ck JCR. Their tie in kit and spacer will be removed and sold too

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I think while the customer service was crap (never should have said they would charge full price and take the parts out) the sales practice itself is not an issue to me.
If I sell cases and six packs of drinks I wouldn't give you a price break on a case if you bought a six pack from me last year.
Flame away.

He's not asking for a complete case for the price of a case minus a 6-pack.

He asked them if they could take those parts out of his order and credit him for the parts that he had removed from the package. They are keeping the parts. That is just horrible customer service.

Yes, horrible customer service. They never should have offered to take those parts out.
But I also have no issue without only selling it as a complete package. If you don't want the parts in the package that you already have, sell them. I'm not breaking up my case if you already have a six pack.

I see what you are saying now. I have no problem if they would have said "sorry, we only sell it as a complete package." I think they should, but understand not wanting to do it. However, offering to keep the parts and charge the customer was beyond stupid. I think we are in agreement.

I bought a Logan's Metal front recently through a NAXJA group buy and am very pleased with it. It took a little longer to get but I went in knowing that.

I looked at the suggestions you guys made, and was going to go with a similar package from AMES when I got home from the shop. Then I got a call from JCR. Same guy I spoke with yesterday, said they wanted to work with me and would credit me $120 from my original purchase. We made the deal. Very polite, very accommodating.
I would like to thank you guys for trying to help with some recommendations…except for that handicorn deal, that Google search is 5 minutes of life I can never get back. I will get you Loganwayne!
