Jeep 4.0 Need Part ID Help

Trying to piece back my '98 Grand Cherokee after 3.5 years of sitting & an engine rebuild later & I've ran into this. What connects to this fitting(assuming its a vacuum line) & where does it run to?
 
It runs over to the EVAP duty cycle purge solenoid right behind the drivers side headlight.
 
no wonder I didn't see the line, I had already put in the bottom half of the airbox & it was covering it. thanks for the help! :beer:
