I built this engine with the help of Cory (YJ and Corey) off of Pirate 4x4. He's the guy that has a 450hp turbo stroker right now...he's built a few...
Long Block:
- 12:1 static compression
- decked block to get some of that, head for a little more...can't remember exact specs
- 4.0 block, seasoned, high mileage, Renix block with the higher nickle content
- .040 over
- New, 4 weight, 4.2 crank, polished, balanced
- ARP/Hesco main studs
- ARP/Hesco head studs
- ARP/Hesco rod studs
- 4.0 rods, deburred flashing, blasted, resized - weight balanced with pistons
- Keith black pistons - I can't remember the part number
- Hastings plasma-moly rings, custom filed
- 0630 casting head
- 5 angle on new valves
- 5249464 springs, 4452032 retainers
- Comp lifters
- Comp chromo pushrods
- Comp 682394 cam
- Cloyes double timing chain
- Harland Sharp pedestal roller rockers
- Melling high pressure, ported oil pump
Ignition:
- CRT Performance HEI distributor
- MSD HEI module with rev limiter (always been set to 5200 to be safe in racing, user adjustable)
- some good wires, can't remember the brand
Intake:
- Late model curved runner intake with custom build 4 barrel adapter
Exhaust:
-some long tube headers, 3-2-1
Propane:
- selling the engine with the whole propane system from carb to tank
- whole system is from gotpropane.com
- 4 barrel carb, can't remember the size but it's enough to push 450 hp
Other stuff:
- New hi flow water pump
- New oil pan and pickup
- Aluminum 3 core radiator for TJ
Similar built engines with only 10:1 compression have put out 300hp and 350lbft of torque. This one has 2 more compression points and has the best flowing intake and exhaust out of all the year options. I haven't dyno'd it yet. I hope to in the near future if it doesn't sell.
It's currently still running and driving in the Jeep. I'll get pics and hopefully video tomorrow.
It has about 10 races on the engine and a couple trail rides. Oil was changed every race. Always run with full synthetic Amsoil.
Everything I've listed in this post for $5500.
Trade towards a Polaris Ranger or RZR.
Can ship if you want to pay for it.
