I have an 87 Wrangler that I am converting to chevy running gear. I bought a complete 1978 chevy long bed parts truck to help with the swap. I was wondering if it would be easier to fit the axles to the jeep frame or if it would be easier to shorten the truck frame and mount my jeep body. Also if any one has some advice on swaping in the axles and has pics it would be great! Thanks

it would def be way easier to swap in the running gear to the jeep, its been done a million times. there would be so much fabrication to put the body on the truck frame. the great thing is you have leaf springs all the way around so its pretty straight forward. take the perches off the D35s and put them on the chevy axles.
if your talking about putting the motor and stuff in the jeep to you can fab up all your brackets or just buy a complete kit. i think Rustys has kits, theres many more places to buy them, im sure somone on here can post some links for you

i already have the adapter engine cradle, headers, radiator etc. do you know where i could go to look up some build threads or pics of jeeps that did these swaps that way i would be heading in the right direction as far as how to make my front hanger brackets

should be some threads on here about it, just do a search using "jeep chevy" "chevy jeep axles" and stuff like that. guy on here by the name of Marsfab does builds for a living i believe, you could probably PM him and he'd give you some pointers.
