Just bought a 2015 grand Cherokee limited has 100k miles on it. Anything should be worried about with higher miles? Any known issues with the 3.6?

Air bag issues have been a major pita for my buddy's wife's 2015 grand and its smokes out exhaust on startup also! Airbag fix was pricey since it wasn't covered on the warranty if I'm not mistaken!
 
How could an Airbag issue on a 2015 NOT be covered under warranty?

My last DD Honda had the airbag light on when I got it in 2010 (it was an 03). As beaters do, it never saw a stealership until 2016 when the Takada situation dropped. Turns out the light was due to a broken harness that sensed seatbelt position.... It was repaired under warranty 13 years on with 240k miles.
 
I may be wrong about the warranty but I coulda swore he had to pay out of pocket for something dealing with the airbag! I'll get better informed on this and let y'all know...
 
Ok so the jeep had 60k and he had to pay out of pocket for rack front diff and new airbag up front he ended up paying 2k for repairs! Not sure how the warranty works but that's the experience he had!
 
Same thing with his 2011 dodge mega cab with 6.7 it just blew a head gasket and it wasn't covered either! The jeep was still under warranty also I just confirmed that with him!

Was the vehicle involved in an accident he didn't want to claim? I can see the Diffs being out of warranty at 60K, but I'm pretty sure the airbag's are time based. In any case I think he might want to try a different dealer for warranty service :)
 
the dealership he went to is where he buys all his work trucks he has a friend that works there I believe! Oh he was pissed when he showed me the paper saying airbag wasn't covered not sure why the diff wouldn't be!?
 
No accident that I've known of they've had it around a year and half!
