Here's what happened
I was at the Dixie Run in Sparta TN and rode all day on Friday. At the end if the day, while coming back to camp, it started bucking, and not wanting to run. Not knowing the inside mechanics of the fuel cell, I filled it up, took about 8 gallons. It ran fine for a night run and then all day on Saturday. Saturday after I broke my drive Shaft, on the way back to camp, it started to do the same thing again. First though, pick up had broke or fallen off. Again, I didn't know the inside mechanics or design of the cell. So once home, I filled it up again, but it didn't run. I took off filter and it was fine, blew right through it will no restrictions. Took off out side from pump, no fuel. so, on a whim, I took off the AN fitting on top of the tank. it had drawn some sort of gasket material up into it, blocking the fuel. Now I would have thought this was from one of the gaskets on the cell, but it was not of the same material, or width. It was about a 1/4 inch wide, and 1/16 thick. Didn't float, and very soft and come apart easily. Once I drained the tank, took off the fill plate, cleaned out all the stuff in the bottom put it all back together, still no run. All indications is that the pump had also failed because of the time it spent running dry. So another pump is ordered, and hopefully I will be back in business. Just kinda pisses me off that I bought a new cell with this crap in it. I don't know where else it could have come from. Easy fix, just aggravating.
