got a new motor swapped into my xj after it sat dead for 2ys and need to get it inspected. since it was dead so long the computer reset or whatever and it needs to go thru a drive cycle now so i get get an inspection and tags. the internet so far is no help. the jeep dealership in town wasnt much help either. anyone got any decent advice? 99xj, 4.0 aw4 if it matters

thanks guys

no its off. it was on when i got the thing to run, i hadnt hooked the upstream o2 sensor up all the way  i plugged it all the way in and cleared the code and nothing is on anymore. everyone has told me to just drive it. so far (~200mi) its not worked. the evap, catalyst, o2 and heated o2 are still reading not ready. the other three say they are ready.

Keep driving , some chrysler products are stupid stuborn. Try 15-20 miles of stop and go back roads then 15-20 highway cruising at low rpms like 60-65mph then check it.
