Purchasing a lower trailer ball hitch and will post up new pics shortly....

I always load mine to where it compresses the rear suspension just a bit. Try it like it is, take it out on the road and do some controlled quick stops, and lane switching to see how it handles. if it's squirrely move it forward a tad. Another way to see how it's balanced is how much room between fenders and top of the tires, front should be some closer.

IT should be almost balanced with just a little more weight up front. Since the front of your jeep weighs more than the rear if you had it centered that would be about right.

A pic of the whole set up on somewhat level ground would be better. A load on a trailer handles differently behind different tow rigs.

Looks fine but you need to get a hitch with more drop to make it level. The whole setup should sit level when loaded.

I'll have to look around for a drop hitch. I just drove it about 18 miles, unloaded the jeep, reloaded in lthe same spot and drove about 18 miles back.

It did not feel loose and there wasn't much movement. It seems the general opinion on two different websites is to move it back some, so I can do that.

The tires on the trailer will make a difference in handling also. Trailer tires will have a stiffer sidewall & run at a higher pressure than automitive tires. This makes for a more stable ride.
