I just installed a Full traction lift and was wondering if I needed the Transfer case drop on a Rubicon only 3" lift?

Do you have any vibes when driving? If not, I would think you would be okay.

At 3 inches, I did not need a xfer case drop on my 03 Rubi. the question for you is whether you have new vibes going on after the lift...

Like everyone else said, drive it. Are there any vibrations? If yes, you either need to trop the transfer case, or better yet, just go ahead and bite the bullet and do a SYE. It will vary from one Jeep to another how much lift it takes to cause vibration. Anything over 2" gets you in the "danger zone". Some even get vibrations from a 2" budget boost. It all just depends.

The Rubicon already has a fixed output. If he has vibes he might look into changing the output flange and adding a double cardan shaft.
