the height is not the problem the seat/ seat bracket is hiting the rear fenderwell and can't move the seat into the lock spot or get them back far enought to be cumfortable while drive

that looks like the one on passenger seat of my 77 CJ-7. The one I have on drivers side slides, but does not fold forward like the pictured one.

I did these on a tj years ago and it really helped my short self see better on trail.

im 6ft 3 so I don't need to make the seats highter im trying to finger something out so I can get more leg room and make so the lock part works to lock the seat and not trou you forward bacause it not locked

Obviously the leg room in a 5 is limited. I used to fit fine in mine. I took some flat bar and bent and drilled my own brackets. And mounted the seats where I wanted them. Fairly easy project that didn't take any special tools.

If you need more leg room, I know guys have cut out the wheel well and cut out the part right behind the seat and flipped it over then welded it back on to gain a couple of inches.

I might have to have somthing done to the wheel wells but mine is fiberglass body so it would be harder to do then cutting metal and welding it back in defernt with more room.

If you've not worked in Fiberglass before, then you might think it's harder. But Working in Fiberglass is just messy is all. It's not difficult, and you won't find a better place to test your learning skills. Who cares what it looks like when you done if it's in the wheel well and behind the seats. My old CJ5 was fiberglass as well, and aside from getting the itches while working on the body, I liked it. don't dismiss this idea just yet because of fiberglass. ;)

Most Jeeps only have the passenger seat on a fold frame, & that's is all you need to get into the back. When I replaced my seats, I had to remove the slider, & lowered the frame. That was fun [NOT]! Still wasn't right, so I ended up with 1/2 " shims, under the left side, & 1/4" shims, under the right side, of Drivers seat riser. I decided to leave the passenger seat be, but it sits higher. Hasn't been a problem.

The drivers side should slide and the passenger side should be the one that folds. I know where I can get my hands on some used ones if you are interested pm me.

I believe they are stock cj seat mounts but the drivers side should just slide back and forth and the pass side has the handle to tilt seat foward.
