Passing this on from an email I received:

We are having a Jeep show at our dealership Abernethy Chrysler Jeep Dodge on Saturday May 21st from 8:30am - 3:00pm.

All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

There will be 9 classes of Jeeps with a trophy for ever class and 1 peoples choice award with a trophy for it.

Entry fees are only $20 and the 1st 75 will recieve event t shirts and dash plaques.

Contact Don Mele event coordinator w/questions

$20 seems steep. Why can't the dealership match a $10 donation? There doing it to get recognition & people onto their lot to sell cars anyhow?

I plan on being there and paying the $20 because it is for a good cause. There has been many people in my life affected by cancer so I support anything that helps them. My Jeep is not show quality and will most likely not win any awards but my Jeep won't be there for that reason anyways. It'll be there for the cause. Hopefully others will be out there too for this!

All for the cause and to get some Jeep enthusiasts together while doing it

The $20.00 goes directly to the American Cancer Society, relay for life is allowing us to use thier banners and such during the event to raise money for the cause. The dealership is also making a hearty donation on top of any money raised by the entries, raffles etc...

To me Jeeps are better shown for the utility they provide and the character thier dents, scratches and stories behind them tell. We have the classes that will determine the best looking, but also for the "best trail ready" and the "Ultimate beater" as well.
Bring em' all out this is isn't all about chrome, bling and shine its about getting the Jeep community together for a damn good cause.

Look forward to seeing and meeting everyone next Saturday,
Don

I'd like to do this but my kids karate tournament is the same day. Can't miss that...

$20 for a good cause is a no-brainer. A cheap day of fun, cool Jeeps, helping others out, and no chance of breakage! We spend much more than $20 for a day of wheeling pretty much anywhere we go. The dealership will be contributing plenty, believe me. I plan on being there. Who knows, my Jeep might have the best rust! LOL!

Why are 2 dealerships doing "Jeep Shows" on the same day?

Decisions, decisions................

ill be there, its also my 16th birthday

Daaang you got a damn nice vehicle for someone who can't even legally drive it yet. Color me jealous.

long story on that ^.
