Jeep TJ Tranny swap question

OkaY I have a 1997 Jeep tj. With 4.0 np231. 32rh.

I want to convert it to over drive so I have a complete donor jeep (1997 GC)
I want to use the 42re. In my tj. Because of the over drive but I have no idea about trannys. Does the 97 42re run off of a computer is there a better swap? Easier way? Anyone done this?
 
Personally I wouldn't swap any 42re into the TJ, they aren't known to be the best transmissions in the world. Look at the AW4 out of the cherokee.

X2 I wouldnt mess with swaping a 42re in. Def a good aw4. Can find them everywhere for a decent price.

Okay I have one of those as well, so the aw4. Any idea how tough of a set up that would be? Or if there is a better year?
