Not really sure who won. The deer is trashed, the jeep is toast, and I've got a cracked rib and busted knuckles.

Should be nice to see what the estimate is on this one with a 4900kbb
 
The jeep is toast? Maybe the jeep door/window is toast, but its a damn jeep, doors are optional.

how in the world did that happen? Did you get out and try to fight the deer after it ran into you???




edit: It does look like the tub may have deflected near the door jamb so i can see calling it 'toast'; from an insurance perspective, it's totalled. I'll buy it from your insurance company for a G though...

well the side back from the door is pretty fubar'd. The windows are running 1100/pair, door @ 500+paint, flare, hard top is chipped, etc. Its all about what the insurance says but the value is so lil theres no telling. The pics def don't do justice to the damage

Let them total it, then buy it back for pennies on the dollar and get some soft door. or used hard doors.

Of course the downside to that is, you probably won't be able to get Comprehensive on your insurance with a salvaged title. If something else happens you'll be out of pocket at that point. That was my deciding factor after the deer ran into my ZJ. Looks like he did far less damage to your Jeep than mine though.
 
Tuf luck dude, I'd do the same on buying it back from the insurance-especially if its wheeled. That's not as freak as you'd think. My uncle killed his only deer one season with his drivers door on his 2500 Dodge. Deer came off a bank head long into his truck and pilled up under it DOA. Weirdest of all he was sitting stopped at an intersection.
