I blew the motor in my 01 wj my buddy has a motor out of a 96 or 97 Cherokee will it fit the wj if I swap all the accessories over

No it will not.
The motor mount bosses on the block are different as are the front accessory drive bosses.
You need aa 00-06 TJ, 99-04 WJ or 00-01 XJ engine due to these cast in bosses.

Alright thanks I got it out and was looking at it and noticed they were different
