hey guys! im new to this site. and im sorry if this has been posted before but i did look back a good ways and didnt see it anywhere. i have been wheeling/off-roading for 15-20 years now. i just recently purchased my first jeep. 1991 XJ. its all bone stock. 273,000 miles -YIKES!!!- but it runs awesome and has plenty of power. i bought it dirt cheap just to make a fun lil toy out of it... anywho, I will stop rambling on. Just have a quick question. I am wanting to lift it 3 inches. and on the cheap! i have found a few companies with the 3 inch coil spacers up front and shackles/add a leafs in the back. my qustion is what brand should i buy or does it matter? and the most important question... add a leafs or shackles. i have lifted several vehicles myself but never a jeep and never by shackles. i know it seems logical to think that add a leafs would be safer and less prone to failure. and also a lil longer to install. just wanting to here what everyone has to say about it! any ideas? thank you in advance!

Rough Country is probably going to be right up your alley. Not the best riding stuff out there, but will get you the height you are wanting and for a good price. Most 3 inch kits come with add a leafs to achieve the lift in the rear...I would go that route if you don't want to coin up for full leafs. Stay away from blocks. My girl has a 3" RC kit on her jeep and it rides pretty good even with their shocks on it. you could get the lift and then choose a different shock...I have their 2.2 shocks and I like them alot.
