I have a 91 yj and notice today that when I engage the clutch at slower speeds there is this consistent clunk coming from under the jeep. It just started today.

Any help is appreciated thanks

Revised: it does it anytime under 10 mph regardless of the clutch being engaged

check the ujoints in the front driveshaft, i remember my brother's xj making a noise when his were worn out.

Only when moving? Will it make noise just sitting with the clutch in/out?

No only moving when come to a stop the noise stops regardless

I'd say either U-Joint , broke spring, loose spring pack, or maybe broke spring center bolt

You might want to check the transmission mount and motor mounts while you are under there.

Don't forget the torque arm stud. The nut on the bottom may have come off and it's banging the cross member under acceleration and engine torque.
