I was told it is from a 1975 Warn add. They said that its black bear road in Telluride. If its not photo chopped the dude has some nerves of steel.

Yeah, Black Bear was my guess... I still count my blessings that we never tried that on our many trips to Durango, Silverton and Ouray. I would've had to crawl in back and hide my eyes!

There wouldn't be any crawling in back and hiding eyes. I'm not afraid to admit, there is no way I would be out on a trail like that!

""The right side is a vertical cliff wall and the left is a 1000 foot or more drop. I remember driving it with my head out the window making sure my left front wheel was still on the edge. This section curves around to the right. and comes out to a series of very tight switchbacks. 2 or 3 of the switchbacks took about 100 turns (just kidding) to get through with spotters. There is a good amount of 'pucker factor' because the edge of each switchback is a shear major drop. Once you get past the first 3 switchbacks the drive down is a cakewalk.""

yeah no need to claim billy bas a$$ here, you would not find me out there, not even on foot! i like some extreme stuff, but my balls just aint that big!

Wheeled my stock Tacoma down that. I grew up in Ouray and have wheeled every trail there numerous times. In high school we would drive to Telluride and go from there to Ouray by the light of the full moon over Black Bear Road. (I.E. we went up that section, not down.) Good times, good times.

And for those that think we were, there used to be sign at the Ouray side entrance that said "You don't have to be crazy to drive this road, but it helps."

yeah thats Black Bear like Rattle Can said, but it doesnt look like that now, its close, but not that bad.
