Me and my uncle are thinking of going up to Jefferson to do some fishing. He's been once but I haven't been at all, so we really don't know much about the area. I have done some Google research and there is a lot of streams and stuff around there to fish on public land. Any pointers on where to go, what to use as far as fishing, places to see while we are there? Is it even a good time to go this weekend?
 
Not a bad area to fish but no further than it is I might go right on to the south Holston or Watauga
 
float the New from Wagner to any bridge takeout. the smallies are plentiful and fun
 
We had a good trip, but had a hard time finding places to pull off and fish. We aren't familiar with the area and weren't sure of where you can and can't access the rivers and streams. We could see them but couldn't find a way to access them.
