JK lift kit ?s

i work with a guy that has a 2wd JK and he is looking for a lift kit 4" i belive, to clear 35's. question: will there be a difference in a kit for a 4wd? he can only find one company that makes a kit for 2wd and its procomp and on the pricey side. but has found many 4wd kits thay are reputable for a good bit cheaper. will the 4wd kits work?
 
He doesn't need a 4" to clear 35's if I was him I would get a 2.5" BB from rough country (it's the cheapest I've seen) and it will clear the 35's fine

X2 and if he is going to use stock rims he has to get spacers to run any tire over 10.5 wide or new wheels with 4.5 inch back spacing or less.
