JK truck pkg from from Mopar

I call bullshit, cause I don't believe there is an automotive engineer anywhere that knows a screwdriver from a crescent wrench.

End result looks cool though, (I just don't think it's an engineering team that did that.)

Its interesting they have done nothing to address body flex. My LJ has two dimples under the door from body flex before I added the bed rail/stiffeners in the rear. But then again it IS a JK vs a LJ.

the project was done by a group of engineers from the Jeep brand ( and a couple of fabrication guys from Mopar Performance) that were responsible for the Rubicon as well as many of the prototype jeeps that you have seen in years past. We have already put our name in to get one of the first kits to build @ the dealership.

River raiders build a JK like this except it was badass, I wonder if that had anything to do with this being build.
As far as body flx is concerned the JK frame and body is way beefier then a TJ/LJ and I doubt they have to worry about it
How much is this kit suppose to cost?

I don't get this and I'm not sure I ever will.

Why do I want a Jeep pickup? And why would I pay x more to add it to my current Jeep?

If I needed a pickup, I'd buy a "real" pickup with a larger bed, cargo capacitiy and towing capacity.

I'm not criticizing this or any other package, just trying to understand why someone would want to do this to a Jeep.

Looks like the rubitruks in Boone.

It does look cool but I'm not sure why someone would take a 4 dr JK and turn it into 2 dr with a bed. Kinda defeats the whole 4dr/4 seater JK to begin with.

My jeep gets used a bunch on the work days. Tools, various assorted crap.

I've always taken the backseat out of my jeeps and the half hardtop I have can still come off. With the sliding rear glass and uppers/doors off its just like a bikini top but better. I can carry the top through a regular door.

Its nice to just throw anything in the back and not worry about it.

I am a tad jealous of the JK with the extra room behind the front seats. But I'm sure the price of a JK+the top will cure me of that.

Bet youll see a bunch of these at the mall...
