So I'm looking for opinions. I just bought a 13 gmc sierra a few months back, but it's way to nice of truck for the way I wana use it. So we are really considering trading it for a new 4door JK. Nothing crazy, just an unlimited with the nice 5 spoke wheels. Or maybe a Sahara. And I will hang on to the 98 chevy I got listed on here for sale. My question is does anybody on here have any experience with kids in one? Are they fairly roomy? We got an xj now and I'm hoping the jks are little bigger inside. It would definitely be a hard top if we got one. We got an 11 month old now, and plan to have another in the next few years. We plan to go drive a few this week but just wanted to here some real world experience pros and cons. A jk may not be as comfy as a chevy equinox, but has a higher cool factor haha. Like my buddy told me, kids ain't gonna remember the time you got 36mpg on a road trip, but they will remember riding down the road with the the hard top off.

I got a JKU with a forward facing car seat and two full back boosters. Yes that's right, 3 car seats. It's actually easier to get them in and out than in the 06 power wagon I had before. It's mostly because there is more room front to back than in the dodge quad can. Width wise the power wagon had more room, but the front to back space is what makes loading them easier.

Thanks for your reply. Mine will be forward facing next month I think. We're goin to look at the dealership today

Yeap, I bought mine right before my son was born in 09 because my quad cab ram was going to be tough to put the Chico infant seat in. Till this day my son would rather ride in my Jeep than anything else.

You'll be fine with the JK. Try and get a 2012 or newer if you can swing it so you get the newer motor.

Seconded on that. I've got 1 forward and 1 rear in my 4 door JK with no issues. It's my wife's DD, and she's had no problems with it.
